Man faces 2 trespass charges over Singapore F1 event breach

What's next: He returns to court Oct. 16, while police are still investigating a second man arrested in the case.

A 39-year-old Indian national was charged in Singapore with two counts of criminal trespass after allegedly entering restricted areas at the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix without a valid ticket. Court documents say Daver Arish Adil got into a ticketed area near Gate 2 on Temasek Avenue at about 1:45 p.m. on Oct. 9, then entered a staff-only zone known as the Wharf on Raffles Boulevard about 15 minutes later. Police detained him inside the event area and later arrested a 35-year-old man in Temasek Boulevard. Investigations into the second man are ongoing. Each trespass charge carries up to three months in jail, a fine of up to S$1,500, or both.
