What's new: Police said there was no wider public risk, and the park closed after evacuating visitors from the site near Doncaster.
A man died after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster, England, and being attacked on Oct. 10, police said. South Yorkshire Police said emergency crews were called at about 1:30 p.m. local time after reports that the man had gone into the enclosure from a raised visitor walkway. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said the tiger remained inside the enclosure and posed no broader threat to the public. The park evacuated visitors, shut the attraction and said it was working with investigators to determine what happened. Yorkshire Ambulance Service sent two road ambulances and an air ambulance.
