Man City go top of WSL with 5-0 win after Chelsea draw Everton 1-1

What's new: Khadija Shaw scored a hat trick, while Chelsea dropped points for the first time since the season opener.

Manchester City moved above Chelsea in the Women’s Super League after routing West Ham 5-0 and watching Chelsea settle for a 1-1 home draw with Everton. City took advantage of Chelsea’s first dropped points since the opening day to climb to the top of the table. Khadija Shaw led the surge with a hat trick, continuing her prolific start to the campaign and taking her tally to 12 goals in nine WSL matches. Aoba Fujino and Iman Beney also scored, with both netting their first league goals of the season. At Chelsea, Sandy Baltimore put the hosts ahead in the 28th minute, but Lucy Bronze’s attempted clearance rolled into her own net five minutes later to level the match for Everton.
