Man City agree to sell Tijjani Reijnders to Al Qadsiah for £52 million

The Dutch midfielder trained separately from City’s first team on Thursday as the club’s midfield reshuffle began.

Manchester City have reached an agreement to sell Tijjani Reijnders to Saudi club Al Qadsiah for £52 million. The Dutch midfielder spent only one season at the Etihad after joining from AC Milan for £46.5 million. Reijnders made 47 appearances and scored seven goals, but his impact was viewed as limited in Pep Guardiola’s final season with City. On Thursday, he trained separately from the first-team squad amid the move. Al Qadsiah is now coached by Brendan Rodgers. Reijnders’ departure is being described as part of City’s midfield overhaul, while Rodri’s future remains uncertain and the club has also been linked with Enzo Fernandez.
