Malaysia to deport any Israeli nationals entering on dual passports
Investigators are focusing on alleged Network School participants in Forest City, Johor, who entered using non-Israeli passports.
Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the government will deport any Israeli national detected in Malaysia after allegations that some entered using dual nationality. Malaysian authorities are investigating the case, which was detected in the state of Johor. Anwar stressed that Malaysia does not recognize Israel and will not compromise if any holder of an Israeli passport enters the country. The issue drew attention after the Johor government sought an investigation into the operations of “Network School” in Forest City. Johor Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi said Israeli nationals were suspected of using passports from other countries to take part in the program. Anwar also referred Higher Education Minister Zambry Abdul Kadir to provide further explanation.
