LPSK to visit Sutrimo family in Banyumas with protection offer

LPSK could extend emergency protection if its team finds threats to life, medical issues, or psychological pressure.

The Witness and Victim Protection Agency will visit the family of the late Sutrimo in Banyumas, Central Java, to assess protection needs and legal assistance in connection with his death. LPSK deputy chair Susilaningtias said the agency has coordinated with Polda Metro Jaya and will proactively reach out to the family first, while awaiting whether they submit a formal request. If a request is filed, LPSK will review the documents before determining eligibility for protection. Emergency protection can be provided immediately if the team finds a life-threatening situation, medical condition, or psychological pressure that needs urgent handling. Earlier, the family reported the case to Polresta Banyumas seeking clarity over alleged irregularities in Sutrimo's death outside a clinic in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
