LPSK Provides Emergency Protection for 3-Year Bandung Captive
LPSK is reviewing protection needs for the victim and family, while police hold the suspect alone in a camera-monitored cell.
Lembaga Perlindungan Saksi dan Korban has provided emergency protection to YTR, a 29-year-old woman who was allegedly confined and abused for three years in Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat. LPSK deputy chairman Wawan Fahrudin said the agency is also coordinating with doctors at Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung to map the victim's medical needs. According to Antara, LPSK is now reviewing a protection request from the victim's family to identify further needs for YTR and her family. Separately, Polda Jawa Barat arrested the suspect, TH alias Taufik Hidayat, in Ciparay on Tuesday afternoon. Police said the suspect was placed alone in a detention room equipped with CCTV, and investigators have involved a psychiatric expert in the probe.
