LPSK grants protection to witness in Febrie graft, TPPU case
FH earlier received emergency protection after Kejaksaan Agung filed a request on July 30, 2026.
Lembaga Pelindungan Saksi dan Korban has decided to provide protection to Ferry Hongkiriwang, a witness in the alleged corruption and money laundering case involving former Jaksa Agung Muda Tindak Pidana Khusus Febrie Adriansyah. The decision was made during a LPSK leadership council hearing on August 18, 2026. Deputy Chair Susilaningtias said FH was deemed eligible because he is a witness, has important information, and could face threats. LPSK said FH holds testimony related to the Asabri-Jiwasraya case that had previously been submitted to law enforcement and Kejaksaan Agung. Although no concrete threat has emerged, LPSK said the risk potential needs to be anticipated because the corruption and TPPU case is considered serious and involves a figure who once held power.
