The eighth-seeded Indonesians won 21-18, 21-10 in 34 minutes over the sixth-seeded pair from Japan, according to BWF records. In the first game, Leo/Daniel let a lead slip and fell behind 17-18, but they won the last four points to close it out 21-18. They then played more aggressively in the second game and led 11-5 at the interval before finishing it 21-10. In the final, Leo/Daniel will meet Malaysia's new pair Aaron Chia/Aaron Tai, who defeated Chen Cheng Kuan/Liu Kuang Heng 24-26, 21-19, 21-16.
