Leaked documents show Russia approved 90 missile launchers for Iran

The APU-L order is believed intended for Mi-28 helicopters, with no confirmation all units have been delivered to Tehran.

Internal Russian defense industry documents show Moscow approved the export of 90 precision-guided APU-L missile launchers to Iran, as tensions rise between Tehran and the United States and Israel. Financial Times, citing documents obtained by Dallas Analytics, reported that the order was listed for buyer code K-10, which other documents linked to Iran. The APU-L launcher is designed to carry LMUR or Izdeliye 305 missiles on Mi-28 attack helicopters, with capacity for two missiles per launcher. Russia has used the system in the war in Ukraine since 2022. The documents also do not confirm whether all 90 units have been completed or actually delivered to Iran.
