Palestinian report counts 900 property fires in West Bank

The report linked 88.8% of the cases to Israeli settlers, while more than 6,200 Palestinians were displaced since 2023.

The Palestinian Commission Against Colonization and the Wall recorded 900 fires targeting Palestinian homes, buildings and vehicles in the West Bank between January 2023 and July 10, 2026. In a report released in Ramallah, the commission said 799 cases, or 88.8%, were linked to Israeli settlers, while 101 others were linked to Israeli soldiers. The number of incidents rose from 217 cases in 2023 to 264 in 2024 and 307 in 2025, then 112 cases in early 2026 through July 10. Nablus and Ramallah and al-Bireh were the hardest-hit areas, with a total of 552 cases. Over the same period, 121 Palestinian communities were reported wholly or partly displaced, including 46 communities emptied completely, leaving more than 6,200 people to leave their homes.
