Lampung prosecutors monitor MBG, propose distributing leftovers

The oversight also covers raw-material supplies, with preference given to local UMKM, Koperasi Merah Putih and BUMDes.

Lampung prosecutors have broadened oversight of the Makan Bergizi Gratis program in schools across Lampung, while encouraging that food left intact and fit to eat but not finished by students be distributed to people in need. Kajati Lampung Danang Suryo Wibowo said monitoring began on the first day of school and will continue gradually across regencies and cities. In Tanggamus regency, the team inspected SD Negeri 1 Way Jaha, Dapur SPPG Sukajadi Pugung and Madrasah Aliyah Al-Falah in Pekon Gunung Kasih. The oversight covers not only administration, but also kitchen cleanliness, food quality and serving. Kejati also wants the MBG supply chain to prioritize local businesses such as UMKM, Koperasi Merah Putih and BUMDes so the program also helps drive the regional economy.
