April foreign arrivals rise 7.22%, tourism forex hits US$4.05 billion
In January-April 2026, foreign arrivals reached 4.68 million, with Bali still the main entry point.
Foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia in April 2026 reached 1.25 million, up 7.22 percent from 1.16 million in April last year. Data from Badan Pusat Statistik also showed total foreign arrivals in January-April 2026 reached 4.68 million, up 8.24 percent from 4.33 million in the same period of 2025. Bank Indonesia recorded tourism foreign exchange earnings of US$4.05 billion, or about Rp68.28 trillion, in the first quarter of 2026, up 6.30 percent from a year earlier. Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana said Bali, via I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, remained the main gateway for foreign arrivals with 552,961 visits, followed by Soekarno-Hatta with 227,830 and Batam with 110,535. The largest numbers of foreign tourists came from Malaysia, Australia, China, Singapore and Timor-Leste.
