KPK seizes 3 big bikes, foreign currency in customs bribery case
The seizure followed the naming of Gatot Heroe Hernanda as a suspect over alleged receipt of Rp3,25 miliar.
KPK has seized three big motorcycles and foreign currency worth about Rp2,8 miliar in a corruption probe involving the Directorate General of Customs and Excise at the Finance Ministry. The motorcycles taken were a BMW R Nine T Scrambler, a Kawasaki Z900 and a Triumph Bonneville Bobber. KPK Acting Director of Investigation Achmad Taufik Husein said the seizure came after Gatot Heroe Hernanda was named a suspect. Gatot, head of the Kediri Customs Office and a former head of the Customs Enforcement Subdirectorate, is suspected of receiving Rp3,25 miliar in a bribery case tied to goods importation involving Blueray Cargo. KPK said searches and seizures could continue, meaning more evidence may be added.
