KPK seals Lombok Barat regent's office, phone goes off
Lombok Barat's PUPR office was also sealed, while the Sekda said he still did not know how the regent's disappearance was connected.
The Corruption Eradication Commission sealed the office of Lombok Barat Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini at the Lombok Barat regency government office complex on Monday morning, July 20. Lombok Barat Regional Secretary Akhmad Saikhu confirmed the sealing when employees arrived at the office. Saikhu said that a few hours earlier, Zaini and other Lombok Barat administration officials were still watching the 2026 World Cup final on a screen in the regent's office yard early Monday. After the event ended, they went home, but when they returned, the regent's office had been sealed with the KPK emblem. Saikhu said the administration tried to contact Zaini through his aide, but the regent's phone number was no longer active. In addition to the regent's office, the KPK also sealed an office at the Lombok Barat Public Works and Housing Agency.
