KPK Searches 8 Sites in BNPB Case, Seizes Cash, 3 Cars
The case involves alleged bribery and conflicts of interest in BNPB's Rp148 miliar DSP procurement for 2024-2026.
KPK searched eight locations tied to an alleged corruption case involving disaster standby funds at BNPB and seized documents, electronic evidence, cash, jewelry, and three cars. The searches took place on 15-19 October in Jakarta, South Tangerang, and Bekasi, including the BNPB office on Jalan Pramuka, East Jakarta. In the case, KPK has named five suspects: Gabriel Purwaka Sigit, Bima Setiawan, Richard Erlangga, Gery Prasetiawan, and Syifa Nrika. KPK suspects that several vendors were affiliated with Bima Setiawan in BNPB procurement worth Rp148 miliar during 2024-2026. The funds came from DSP for handling forest and land fires in Papua and Kalimantan, floods in Sumatera and Aceh in November 2025, and an earthquake in NTT.
