KPK Questions Kediri customs chief Gatot Heroe as suspect
The questioning is part of two new probe orders in the Blueray Cargo import bribery case; one other order has not named a suspect.
KPK questioned the head of the Kediri Customs Office, Gatot Heroe Hernanda, as a suspect in alleged corruption within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise on Wednesday (26/8). KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said Gatot was examined in his capacity as a civil servant at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, particularly during his tenure in the Enforcement Subdirectorate of the Enforcement and Investigation Directorate from June 2023 to February 2026. Gatot arrived at the KPK Red and White Building in Jakarta at 10.13 WIB and the questioning was still under way. The case is an expansion of the bribery case linked to imported goods that ensnared PT Blueray Cargo owner John Field and several others. KPK previously issued two new investigative orders; in the first, Gatot has been named a suspect, while in the second investigators are still seeking another suspect.
