KPK grills ex-MPR secretary general Ma'ruf Cahyono for 10 hours
It was his first questioning since KPK named him a suspect in July 2025, and he has not been detained.
KPK questioned former MPR Secretary General Ma'ruf Cahyono for about 10 hours at the Gedung Merah Putih in Jakarta on Thursday (25/6) in a case involving alleged gratuities in goods and services procurement within the MPR Secretariat General. Ma'ruf arrived at about 09.30 WIB and finished the interview at 19.53 WIB. Afterward, he said investigators were only probing his identity and the scope of his duties when he served as secretary general of MPR. KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the questioning also aimed to confirm evidence already collected by investigators, including the procurement mechanism and alleged receipt of money by Ma'ruf. It was the first questioning since KPK named him a suspect on 3 July 2025. KPK said no arrest has been made because the investigation and evidence gathering are still continuing.
