KPK examines 8 witnesses in Bali foreign residency extortion case

KPK questioned eight witnesses over two days in Denpasar, Bali, as part of its investigation into alleged extortion in the processing of foreign nationals' residence permits. On Wednesday, questioning at Polresta Denpasar included the director of PT Visa Empat Bali ROL, the director of PT MSI Service Indonesia SDH, an operations staff member at CV Visa Agung Bali GRW, and an operations staff member at PT Bali Internasional Surya Ayu MNC. On Thursday, KPK summoned MSW as head of the Residence Permit Subdivision at the Denpasar Immigration Office, DP as head of the Immigration Status Subdivision, as well as ARD from PT Bali Soft and NKY from PT Bali Visa. All questioning took place in Bali, while the case stemmed from a KPK sting operation tied to the processing of foreign nationals' residence permits.
