Motorcycle theft gang points gun at housewife in Cengkareng
The victim spread CCTV footage on social media to help identify the suspects after they escaped despite residents stepping out to chase them.
A motorcycle theft gang pointed a firearm at a housewife while operating in front of the victim’s home on Jalan H. Djairi, Rawa Buaya, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, on Monday afternoon. The victim, identified as Susi, caught two suspects trying to break into her motorbike with a T-shaped key. When Susi shouted for help, one suspect brandished a silver pistol and forced her back into the house. Residents came out and tried to chase them, but both suspects escaped. Susi said the incident happened around 11.00 and was recorded on CCTV. She said she was traumatized by the episode and is now keeping her vehicle in a safer place. She then shared the surveillance footage on social media so the suspects could be identified, although the case has not yet been reported to police.
