Komisi VII forms working panel on MSME, creative funding
The panel is tasked with recommending lighter collateral, simpler application steps, and stronger financial literacy support.
Komisi VII formed a Working Committee on Access to Financing and Capital for MSMEs and the creative economy to address funding barriers for small businesses. The main issues are limited collateral, complicated financing applications, and low understanding of financial management. In Republika, the formation of the panel was backed by Komisi VII member Gandung Pardiman. He said banks, BUMN, and financial institutions need to prepare financing products better suited to MSMEs and the creative economy, including lighter collateral requirements and a simpler process. Beyond credit, support is also seen as necessary through revolving funds, productive grants, market access, and financial literacy assistance so businesses are better prepared to seek financing.
