DPR Commission III denies receiving Police chief replacement letter
DPR says it has not received any letter, even as talk of replacing Listyo Sigit continues to circulate publicly.
Chair of Commission III of the DPR Habiburokhman denied reports that the President had sent a presidential letter to replace National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. He said there was no surpres on a change in the top leadership of the Polri and urged the public not to be influenced by unfounded rumors. Deputy Chair of Commission III Ahmad Sahroni also said the DPR had not received the surpres. At the parliamentary complex, Sahroni said Listyo had performed well over the past five years and that there was no urgency to replace him. In a separate report, Head of Bappisus Aris Marsudiyanto responded to similar speculation by saying a change in Polri leadership depended on a decision by President Prabowo Subianto.
