First 2026 Hajj group begins arriving in several regions
New: 391 pilgrims arrived at Soekarno-Hatta, 378 at Juanda, and the Hajj return now officially enters the debarkation phase.
The first group of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims for 1447 H/2026 began arriving home on Monday night into early Tuesday, marking the start of the debarkation phase at several embarkation points. At Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, 391 pilgrims from the Pondok Gede embarkation arrived through Terminal 2F. Juanda Airport in Surabaya also received 378 pilgrims from Kloter 1 from Kota Malang, Kota Surabaya, and Kabupaten Probolinggo on Saudia Airlines flight SV 5124. Emotional scenes accompanied the return, including prostrations of gratitude in the airport area and family embraces at the hajj dormitory. Soekarno-Hatta Airport expects to handle 84 groups, or 34.843 pilgrims, during June 2026, while Juanda is preparing services for 116 groups through 1 July 2026.
