Pilgrims from Malut, Sulsel and Kalteng begin arriving home
Makassar debarkation has recorded 5,881 pilgrims and officers already returned, while 10,841 others await phased repatriation.
The return of hajj pilgrims from several regions has begun through Debarkasi Makassar and Banjarmasin. In Makassar, Kloter 15 carrying 391 passengers arrived from Saudi Arabia, including 374 pilgrims from Maluku Utara, 10 from Gowa, one each from Bone and Maluku, and five officers. The Maluku Utara government said two pilgrims died in the Holy Land, Siti Totou Umar (67) and Darsono Baguna Muis (60), while Mohtar Karim Farahat (65) remains under treatment in Jeddah. Kloter 16 also arrived in Makassar with 393 pilgrims from Pinrang, Gowa, Maros and Takalar. At Debarkasi Banjarmasin, Kloter 07 with 360 pilgrims from Palangkaraya, Barito Timur, Barito Utara, Gunung Mas and Sukamara has landed. PPIH said the hajj repatriation in Banjarmasin runs from 4 June to 1 July 2026.
