Kementrans sends 1,476 participants to 53 transmigration areas
The second Tim Ekspedisi Patriot 2026 cohort will build on 2025 research and turn findings into policy recommendations and flagship products.
Kementerian Transmigrasi sent 1,476 participants from Tim Ekspedisi Patriot 2026 to 53 transmigration areas across Indonesia to strengthen research- and innovation-based development. Briefings were held simultaneously in Bogor, Jawa Barat, on July 25-26, 2026. The program is the second cohort after the 2025 implementation, which involved about 2,000 participants. Deputy Transmigration Minister Viva Yoga Mauladi said this year’s teams are tasked with following up on earlier research results while starting flagship product programs in each area. The participants include 39 professors, 10 postdoctoral researchers, 158 doctoral holders, 49 master’s degree holders, 214 applied master’s students and 937 undergraduate degree holders. Transmigration Minister M. Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara said the field findings are expected to form the basis for policy, innovation, investment and the opening of new job opportunities in transmigration areas.
