Kemensos enlists 1,000 TNI cadets to guide Sekolah Rakyat students
The 178-site program is set to begin in early August 2026 for one week, including dormitory discipline training.
Kementerian Sosial is partnering with TNI to build the character of Sekolah Rakyat students, with about 1,000 Akademi Militer cadets prepared for 178 locations. Under the plan, five cadets will be assigned to each school to help students and teachers with discipline and tidiness in the dormitory environment. The program was discussed at a meeting between Wakil Menteri Sosial Agus Jabo Priyono, Akademi TNI Commander Lt. Gen. R. Sidiharta Wisnu Graha and other TNI officials at the Kemensos office in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, June 24. Planned lessons include folding uniforms, ironing clothes, arranging bed sheets and wardrobes, and polishing shoes. The rollout is scheduled to begin in early August 2026 for one week.
