Kemenperin pushes fertilizer certification to boost industry competitiveness
BSPJI Pontianak is exploring cooperation with PT Garuda Mas Borneo on SNI, lab testing and workforce training.
The Ministry of Industry is pushing to strengthen the quality of the national fertilizer industry through standardization, certification, laboratory testing and improved human resources. The effort is aimed at bolstering the competitiveness of domestic products in both the domestic and global markets while supporting food security. As part of that effort, the Pontianak Industrial Standardization and Services Center held talks with PT Garuda Mas Borneo, a domestic fertilizer producer. The meeting at the BSPJI Pontianak office discussed possible cooperation on applying Standar Nasional Indonesia, certification procedures, laboratory testing services and technical training for industrial workers. Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said quality assurance is an important foundation for industrial resilience, especially in the fertilizer sector.
