Kemenpar promotes yacht tourism at INSA 2026 festival in Bali

The segment is also expected to boost marinas, shipyards, MSMEs and coastal economies through broader industry links.

The Ministry of Tourism is promoting yacht tourism to strengthen Indonesia’s marine tourism ecosystem and raise the country’s tourism competitiveness. Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, speaking at the INSA Yacht Festival 2026 at Benoa Marina, Bali, said yachts are one of three pillars of quality marine tourism, alongside cruise and diving. She said Indonesia has strong advantages as an archipelagic country located in the Coral Triangle, a region rich in marine biodiversity. Kemenpar said developing the segment requires collaboration among the government, industry players, investors, communities and tourism stakeholders so the benefits reach the shipping industry, marinas, shipyards, MSMEs and coastal communities. The festival, held on 7-9 August, is its third edition.
