Kemenkes denies markup in RSUD Krui medical gear deal, Rp56.7 billion
Rp31.7 billion is set aside this year for advanced equipment, while about Rp25 billion covers basic procurement in 2025-2026.
The Ministry of Health denied reports of budget inflation in the procurement of medical equipment for RSUD KH Muhammad Thohir Krui in Pesisir Barat, Lampung. Kemenkes said total medical equipment support for the hospital amounts to Rp56.7 billion. According to Aji Muhawarman, head of Kemenkes' Communications and Public Information Bureau, the Rp30 billion figure previously mentioned by Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin in a dialogue with President Prabowo Subianto refers to the value of advanced equipment procurement for each of the 66 RSUD under the Quick Win program, or Program Hasil Cepat Terbaik. For RSUD Krui, about Rp31.7 billion is being used this year for equipment such as cathlab, CT scan 64 slice, echocardiography, and mammography. Another Rp25 billion is allocated for 2025-2026 for basic equipment, including ventilators, USG, defibrillators, and operating room supplies.
