Kemenhaj deploys dozens of staff to handle 2027 hajj visas
Even pilgrims who are medically fit and have paid in full can still miss departure if names, birth dates or documents do not match.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is deploying dozens of support staff to check documents and handle visa processing for regular hajj pilgrims for 1448 H/2027 M. The officers begin work this week to reduce administrative errors before visa applications are submitted to Saudi authorities. Director General of Hajj Services Ian Heriyawan warned that complete documentation will determine whether a visa is issued, even if pilgrims have been declared istitaah and have paid the Biaya Perjalanan Ibadah Haji. The review is focused on matching names, numbers, birth dates and other data. After the visa is issued, pilgrims must still meet the Nusuk card requirement as an identity document and access pass for services during the hajj in Tanah Suci.
