Kemendagri urges local governments to add health to APBD
The move is tied to the 2045 Kedaulatan Kesehatan target and to stronger basic services in the regions.
The Ministry of Home Affairs is urging local governments to include health programs in regional development planning, agency strategic plans and APBD to help meet the target of Indonesia's Kedaulatan Kesehatan 2045. Deputy Home Affairs Minister Akhmad Wiyagus delivered the message at the National Seminar and Declaration of Indonesia's Kedaulatan Kesehatan 2045, held by Persatuan Inteligensia Kristen Indonesia at GBI Bethel Summarecon in Bandung on Wednesday, July 15. He said health development cannot be left to the health sector alone and needs support from clean water, sanitation, food security, education, social protection, spatial planning, environmental management and community empowerment. He also linked the policy to Health Law 17/2023 and Local Government Law 23/2014.
