Kemendagri-KPK form 10-cluster team to curb graft in local govts
The outreach begins in Papua and expands to nine other locations, targeting local leaders and agencies in high-risk sectors.
The Home Affairs Ministry and the Corruption Eradication Commission have formed a joint team to map corruption risks and strengthen prevention in local governments across Indonesia. The program is divided into 10 regional clusters and targets regional heads, deputy regional heads, DPRD leaders, regional secretaries, and regional apparatus organizations in strategic sectors such as public works, health, education, procurement of goods and services, finance, assets, and public services. Tito Karnavian said the outreach will start in Papua under the coordination of Ribka Haluk and KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto, then expand to nine other points. The high-risk areas mapped include budget planning, procurement, licensing, ASN management, regional property, taxes and levies, grants and social assistance, and village funds.
