Kemendagri Holds 2026 Sulawesi Regional Awards in Kendari
Regional winners in Sulawesi will receive fiscal incentives of up to Rp3 miliar each across four performance categories.
The Ministry of Home Affairs held the 2026 Regional Awards for High-Performing Local Governments in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, on May 29, 2026. Home Affairs Minister Muhammad Tito Karnavian said the program recognizes regions with the best performance in reducing unemployment, creative financing, controlling inflation, and tackling poverty and cutting stunting. Winners receive government assistance of Rp3 miliar for Terbaik I, Rp2 miliar for Terbaik II and Rp1 miliar for Terbaik III. Tito said the regional assessment was chosen to make the process fairer, using data from Badan Pusat Statistik and the Regional Government Information System. At the event, Menkopolkam Djamari Chaniago also conveyed President Prabowo Subianto's message for regional heads to continue working to improve public welfare.
