Kemendagri absorbs 99.46% of 2025 budget after cuts

Kementerian Dalam Negeri absorbed Rp3.76 trillion, or 99.46% of its effective Rp3.79 trillion budget in 2025, even after the allocation was cut under government spending-efficiency measures. In a working meeting with Commission II of the DPR at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (16/7), Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian said Kemendagri's initial Rp4.79 trillion budget was reduced to Rp2.61 trillion before rising again to Rp3.79 trillion after relief from Kementerian Keuangan. The additional funds were used for strengthening Ditjen Dukcapil information technology infrastructure, SIPD RI services, education at IPDN and priority government programs in the regions. On the revenue side, Kemendagri collected Rp1.22 trillion in PNBP, against a target of Rp545.62 billion. Kemendagri also received a WTP opinion from BPK for the 12th straight time since 2014.
