Kemenbud launches first 5 volumes of Sejarah Indonesia
The initial release includes work by 123 authors from 34 universities, with free digital editions available at pustakabudaya.id.
The Ministry of Culture launched the first five volumes of “Sejarah Indonesia: Dinamika Kebangsaan dalam Arus Global” in Jakarta on Monday, as part of an 11-volume project on Indonesian history. Culture Minister Fadli Zon said 123 authors from 34 universities and 11 non-university institutions took part in the compilation. The five published volumes range from “Akar Peradaban Nusantara” to “Masyarakat Indonesia dan Terbentuknya Negara Kolonial”. Six other volumes are scheduled for release in September 2026. All books in the first phase are now available in digital form and can be downloaded free of charge through pustakabudaya.id. Kemenbud is also coordinating with the Ministry of Communication and Digital to secure the books’ digital archives from tampering and hacking.
