Kemdiktisaintek probes use of Prabowo name in SSRN paper
Preliminary findings say the lead author admitted listing nearly all co-authors without permission or consent.
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology is still investigating the use of President Prabowo Subianto's name and those of several other figures in a scholarly manuscript on the SSRN platform. Minister Brian Yuliarto said an inspection team made up of the inspectorate general and several lecturers has submitted a preliminary report. The initial findings indicate that the lead author, identified as DD, admitted to adding the names of the co-authors unilaterally in a book, repository and journal without permission or consent. The ministry is now verifying that account with all of the named authors. Beyond the name issue, the team is also examining allegations that DD used a false academic title. DD is said not to hold the rank of professor and to have only recently completed a doctoral promotion defense.
