Asia Afrika Carnival 2026 in Bandung draws delegates from 26 countries

The Asia Afrika Carnival 2026 was held in Bandung, West Java, on Saturday (11/7), with delegates from 26 countries taking part. The event on Jalan Asia Afrika featured dances, music and traditional clothing from various countries to commemorate the 71st anniversary of the Asia-Africa Conference. Republika said the carnival is the main event in the Asia Africa Festival 2026 series, which runs July 11-12. Residents lined the carnival route to watch the parade of delegates, including participants from Indonesia and Japan. The event again put Bandung in the spotlight as a meeting place for Asian and African cultures, with a message of friendship and diversity among nations.
