Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo met with Jaksa Agung ST Burhanuddin at the Kejaksaan Agung main building in Jakarta on Monday (13/7), amid the uproar after the alleged corruption case involving former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah. Burhanuddin said the relationship between the Kejaksaan Agung and Polri is not a rivalry, but a long-standing partnership that must be maintained to improve the legal system. After the closed-door meeting, which lasted about an hour, Listyo said the two institutions discussed strengthening cooperation in law enforcement, including outreach on the new KUHP and KUHAP. He also said Polri and the Kejaksaan will prepare a joint education program, especially for investigators and prosecutors, so coordination in the criminal justice system can run more effectively and provide legal certainty for the public.
