KAI offers 17% discount and Rp8 LRT fare on Aug. 17
Promo economy-class tickets go on sale Aug. 14-17, valid only for departures throughout Aug. 17, 2026.
PT Kereta Api Indonesia will offer a 17 percent discount on commercial economy train tickets and a Rp8 fare for LRT Jabodebek travel on Aug. 17, 2026, coinciding with the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. Promo intercity train tickets will be sold from Aug. 14, 2026 at 00.01 WIB to Aug. 17, 2026 at 24.00 WIB, and will apply only to departures on Aug. 17 from 00.01-24.00 WIB. Purchases can be made through Access by KAI and other official channels. KAI also said the special Rp8 fare will apply to Commuter Line. At LRT Jabodebek, stations and train sets will be decorated in red and white. KAI hopes the low fares will encourage more people to use public transportation for daily mobility, trips to public spaces, tourist areas and Independence Day events.
