KAI, Bogor city government plan Bogor Station overhaul
The plan covers boarding and drop-off areas, feeder stops and pickup flow, plus ties between the station and Alun-alun Bogor.
PT Kereta Api Indonesia and the Bogor city government are preparing a revamp of Bogor Station and the surrounding area into an integrated transport hub. The discussion took place at Bogor City Hall on Thursday, focusing on improving passenger comfort and the capacity of mass transit services. The plan includes arranging boarding and drop-off areas, stops for feeder public transport, and pickup and drop-off flows. KAI and the city government also discussed integrating Bogor Station with the adjacent Alun-alun Kota Bogor. Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim said the two sides will prepare a memorandum of understanding as the basis for the collaboration. The meeting also touched on activating the Bogor-Cigombong route, railway facilities in Sukaresmi, LRT, tram service, and access to Stasiun Ciomas Rancamaya.
