JFC 2026 Opens With Hundreds of Children at World Kids Carnival
New: 15 students from Sekolah Rakyat Jember joined two JFC sessions in costumes made from recycled materials prepared over four months.
Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) 2026 opened with the World Kids Carnival in front of the Jember regency government office on Friday evening. The opening featured hundreds of children in environment-themed costumes under the main theme HEAL, an acronym for Humanity, Earth and Life. JFC president Budi Setiawan said the stage was meant to build creativity, leadership and confidence in children from an early age. In the July 24-26 series, 15 students from Sekolah Rakyat Jember also took part in two sessions, World Kid Pets and Grand Carnival. Sekolah Rakyat Jember principal Kartika Sari Dewi said it was their first participation. The students' costumes were made from March to July, using many recycled materials, with concepts including Concience, Noise, Roots and Riberth.
