Commercial jet flights return to Bandung’s Husein Airport

Garuda has reopened the direct Bandung-Denpasar route, with international flights targeted to begin in October 2026.

Commercial jet flights resumed at Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung on Friday (14/8), after being diverted to Kertajati Airport for nearly three years. The reactivation was marked by the landing of a Boeing 737-800 and the return of Garuda Indonesia and Citilink services on several domestic routes. Garuda Indonesia Group on the same day reopened the direct Bandung-Denpasar and Denpasar-Bandung routes with a Boeing 737-800 NG. The inaugural GA-334 flight departed Husein at 11.30 WIB and was scheduled to arrive at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport at 14.20 Wita. In addition to Denpasar, routes available from Husein include Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Batam, Pontianak, and Makassar. International flights are targeted to begin operating in October 2026.
