Jakarta 2026 SPMB opens 245,980 seats, registration starts June 15
New: 10,109 seats are set aside at 103 free private schools, on top of 228,163 public school seats and 7,708 SPMB Bersama seats.
Jakarta's Education Agency has prepared 245,980 seats for the 2026/2027 New Student Admission System (SPMB), with registration set to begin on June 15, 2026. The quota covers public schools, SPMB Bersama, and free private schools. The basis is Jakarta Governor Decree No. 238 of 2026 on technical guidelines for new student admissions.
Public schools have capacity for 228,163 new students, consisting of 6,310 in PAUD, 95,965 in elementary school, 73,289 in junior high school, 29,337 in high school, 19,541 in vocational high school, 891 in SLB, and 2,830 in SKB. SPMB Bersama, involving 298 private schools, adds 7,708 seats, while 103 free private schools provide 10,109 seats.
This year's SPMB uses four pathways: achievement, affirmation, domicile, and transfer. Admissions for elementary school, junior high school, high school, vocational high school, and private schools participating in SPMB Bersama will be conducted online; PAUD, SLB, and SKB will use a hybrid system; while admissions to free private schools will be offline.
