West Java fixes SPMB 2026 after mapping complaints, account errors

Official registration opens June 15, giving the provincial government time to repair data synchronization and the online system.

The West Java provincial government has begun fixing the implementation of the 2026 Sistem Penerimaan Murid Baru (SPMB) after complaints emerged during the Calon Murid Baru Mapping stage. West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi on Tuesday (9/6) described the mapping-stage problems as an early warning, since there is still time before official registration opens on June 15. In the field, Commission V member of the West Java DPRD Iwan Koswara found inconsistencies in rules among school operators, confusion during registration and data verification, and technical disruptions in the online system. Several prospective students were also reported to have experienced interrupted data access and account errors after logging in. Commission V urged the West Java Education Office to conduct a thorough review of the system so the SPMB process will be more orderly, transparent, and easier for parents and prospective students to understand.
