ITE shifts exams to paper after online system fails at 3 colleges

What's new: Tests disrupted on June 4 were reset for June 11, and all exams through June 11 moved to printed scripts.

Singapore's Institute of Technical Education moved online exams to paper after its assessment system failed across its East, West and Central colleges. ITE said students ran into access problems on June 4 during sessions scheduled from June 2 to June 11, with tests on June 2 and June 3 unaffected. The disrupted June 4 exams were rescheduled for June 11 using printed scripts, and all exams from June 5 to June 11 also proceeded on paper. ITE did not say how many students, courses or tests were hit. It said it is working with the vendor to fix the problem. The Straits Times identified the platform used in prior ITE exams as Janison Replay, made by Australia's Janison Education Group.
