Istana waits for trial as 41 names emerge in MBG graft case

Istana is choosing to wait for the court process after graft suspect Sony Sonjaya, in the Makan Bergizi Gratis program, mentioned 41 names allegedly linked to the case. Deputy State Secretary Minister Bambang Eko Suhariyanto said other facts will come out in court and urged the public to await the hearing. According to Sony's lawyer, Krisna Murti, the list grew from 26 to 41 names after investigators at the Kejaksaan Agung opened the chats and found a table containing proposed new names. Krisna said the added names were tied to requests for quotas of Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi points for affiliated parties. One initials mentioned by Sony to investigators was NSD. To date, Kejagung has named six suspects in the MBG 2025-2026 governance case, including former BGN head Dadan Hindayana.
