Israeli strikes in Gaza kill 8-9 civilians, including child
The attacks hit Gaza City, Al-Mawasi and Khan Yunis despite the ceasefire in place since October 2025.
Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip on Sunday killed at least eight to nine Palestinians, with casualty reports coming from Gaza City and the Khan Yunis area. Republika, citing AFP and local hospital reports, said three people were killed in Al-Remal, Gaza City, including a 4-year-old child, while five others died in a drone strike in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Yunis. Antara, citing Gaza authorities and civil defense, reported a total of nine dead since dawn and an airstrike that targeted police officers in Khan Yunis. The strikes added to the toll amid the ceasefire that has been in effect since October 2025. According to reports cited by Republika, more than 1,500 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire took effect, while the humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire.
