Israeli forces clear 2 outposts after settlers trap families in Qusra

What's new: The U.S. ambassador called the siege "terror," and one child was taken out for medical treatment as roads stayed shut.

Israeli forces dismantled two illegal settler outposts near the West Bank village of Qusra after days of attacks that trapped Palestinian families in their homes with dwindling food and water. Residents and local officials said settlers gathered around three houses from Sunday, threw stones, damaged a wall and blocked access roads, preventing people from leaving or supplies from getting in. The military said it detained one Israeli and sent more troops to patrol the area. A Palestinian ambulance reached the families late Tuesday with food and evacuated one child for treatment. By Thursday, some residents had been moved by the military but still could not freely leave the area near Nablus.
