Israel expels 2 Dutch diplomats from Gaza coordination center

The move follows The Hague’s ban on imports from illegal settlements, forcing two Dutch officials to leave Israel within a week.

Israel expelled two Dutch diplomats from the International Support Center for Gaza in Kiryat Gat after the Netherlands banned imports of products from Israeli illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said the move was taken at the request of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Dutch representatives were ordered to leave Israel within a week. According to ANP, the two officials came from the Dutch Embassy in Israel and the Dutch representative office in Ramallah. The U.S.-led coordination center, also known as the Civil-Military Coordination Center, was set up by CENTCOM to monitor the Gaza ceasefire, the delivery of aid and plans for the postwar phase.
