Islah Bahrawi Reports 2-Week Tail, CCTV and Tracker Examined
The alleged surveillance extended from his home to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, while residents spotted a suspicious man handling a tracking device.
Executive Director of Jaringan Moderat Indonesia, Islah Bahrawi, outlined an alleged surveillance operation against him and his family that he said had lasted for the past two weeks. At a news conference at the office of the YLBHI in Jakarta on Friday, June 5, 2026, Islah said he learned of the incidents after neighbors reported an unknown person photographing his garage and asking about his family’s routines, including his child. Home CCTV footage also captured two people circling near his residence on May 19. On May 21, when he picked up his child at Soekarno-Hatta Airport and stopped at Pantai Indah Kapuk 2, a car was said to have followed him all the way back home. That night, residents found a suspicious person near Jalan Raya T.B. Simatupang who was said to be operating a directional tracking device.
